Making Progress in Tver
Thanks for your comments on my post last night and for your prayers for the students at Union University and the people in Jackson who suffered damage and loss.
Here is the latest news from Tver...
The two families from our agency who went to court in Tver are now officially approved to adopt their children! We are very happy for them and know that they both cannot wait for their kids to join them forever! The 10 day waiting period was enforced for both families, so they will remain in Tver for a few more weeks before getting their children and going to Moscow to the U.S. Embassy to do the final paperwork.
We also found out yesterday that the family ahead of us with our agency received their court date in Tver! That means that we should be next! That is, we should be next if the needed I-171H update does not hold us up! I'm working with our state Senator's office to see if we can get it sooner. Please pray that someone at CIS will update the form and send it ASAP!

Hooray!!!! You're next!!!! We can't wait to hear you've received your date and can't wait to see you home with your baby boy :)
That's great news about a court date for the other family. It is always good to be next! We're fine here in Jackson. No damage to our house or in our neighborhood but the tornado came through less than a mile away from us. A little too close for comfort!
I hope you hear great news soon!

I was wondering if you guys and your families were ok. Thanks for the update and we'll be praying. We've seen all the devastation on the news out here in AZ and it's just horrible.
I'm so excited that you guys are up next in line!! Can't wait for you to be united with your little boy.
Carrie-

Great news in Tver - I'll be parying on the I-171. I'm so glad you are next for that court date.
Wow - that's great! So glad Tver is picking up and that you are next. Praying for all those affected by the tornado. Can't wait to hear more!
Oh wow! I'll be praying that you receive your form in time.
That's great news that you might have your court date soon.
Yeah! I'm thrilled to hear about the progress in your region. Not too much longer until that baby boy is home with you FOREVER!
My fingers are crossed!
Hi Carrie,
I'm so excited about your news. It is wonderful to hear that you are next in line for a court date in Tver. I think accreditation has sped things up in Tver and I'm glad to see regions moving again. I know many families have been waiting for a long time to completed their adoptions, including you. I look forward to hearing you say Court Date Received (or reading via e-mail or blog).
Sorry to hear about Union and Jackson. I too thought about you and your family. I'm so thankful that no one was hurt in the tornado and that your brother was safe and sound. I'm sure it will take many months/years to rebuild Union University and Jackson back. They will be in my prayers!!
Oh how exciting to know that you are next. Hope everything goes through quickly!
