Update
It has been 5.5 weeks since Michael registered our dossier in Russia. We have not heard anything new this week regarding our adoption, but we learned how to view pictures of children who are currently on the Russia adoption database in Tver. It is possible that we are seeing our child in one of the pictures! I cannot look at this website enough!!
We had the opportunity to eat supper on Monday night with Jim and Adrienne Fleming, our new friends adopting a child from Vladivostok, Russia. They traveled to Vlad. to meet their son Owen in February. We got to see pictures of Owen and hear about their interactions with him for the four days they were allowed to visit with him in the orphanage. It was encouraging to us to meet with them and gain insight from their first trip experience with their child, and we look forward to meeting their sweet baby boy soon! At this time, they have been away from Owen for over 3 months. Please pray for them as they wait and pray that they will be able to return to Vlad. very soon to pick Owen up and bring him home with them!

My husband, Norman, and I have applied to adopt from Russia using CHI. We have temporarily been approved through the Brentwood office and are awaiting approval from St. Louis (hopefully anytime). We meet with Brenda Barker this Saturday to begin our home study paperwork.
